This fabulous high-relief cameo depicts one of the most celebrated painting of Raffaello Sanzio: "Our Lady on the Chair", now in Palazzo Pitti (Florence, Italy). All details are very well rendered by an excellent master carver. Cameos showing painting are rare, and this one is also large and in mint condition, except the light crack on the background. Really a very desirable piece. |
