Condition: Figure is 100% Mint. Light cracks on the background, due to the age.
Superb and extremely rare "egg shell" cameo. Because the fragility, is near impossible to find a so large pieces in similar condition.
Actually I think is a miracle it arrived safe at today.
This is one of the most beautiful cameos I have ever seen: the face is very manly and sweet at once. All details are perfectly rendered my a true master hand.
The frame, originally a buckle, we have transformed in a brooch. Than was necessary to apply a new gold wash. We have preferred to apply the same carat, but now the color looks lightly more lighing than the old one. So, we can apply a new wash of red gold, for to imitate the color of antique jewels. |
