What say? This is an extremely rare piece of antique craftmanship of the Charles X's era (1824-1830). As any collector know, similar jewels are very hard to find (even for me!). In this case both the cameo and the chieselled frame are of superb quality. As you see on pictures, the bezel has some damages: but after many things, we have decided to leave it as is, except the C clasp and the pin that were needing to be replaced. Try to restore these frames is very risky, and we have considered we can wear the brooch without risk to damage it. The second point is the damages are not very visible when we wear the brooch: I have done a picture showing how will appears the brooch to somebody in front of you, when you wear it. I don't want to minimize the damages, but just only to reassure you are not bidding on a wreck, and that you can wear the brooch without problems! Actually, though the frame is almost delicate, you don't need to be too much careful and fearful handling it.
Very rare and collectable piece.
